Craft Rum Handmade in Puerto Rico

Artesano is the product of inspiration, perspiration, hard work and perseverance.

It encloses the story of people that got together to create extraordinary rums in the mountains of Puerto Rico. The name ARTESANO encloses in one word all the craft put into creating incredible liquids, the science, the passion, the details & the effort into one unique bottle.

After a few presentations to investors that got nowhere, we decided as a team to pursue the Crowdfunding path. Connected with a new, upcoming platform and did the first ever equity crowdfunding campaign in Puerto Rico, raising $215,000 from over 370 micro-investors investing anywhere from $100 and up to own a small piece of our pie.
This was our start.
In 2024 we are increasing our production, attacking our Puerto Rico market, creating new rums and pursuing new markets in USA,
Central America and Europe.

OUR RUMS FROM THE OUTSIDE IN.

The bottle is what we always wanted, but the labels were different. At the beginning they were made out of paper. They were designed and re-designed many, many times over before it ended like it is.

We met our label partners in a trade show, and when we met in person they suggested we try a new technology where they could engrave and paint tin onto very unique labels. They were perfect, and we loved them…but we wanted them to be imperfect.
Our French partners now have to engrave our labels, paint them, and to make them imperfect they scrub away some of the paint, making each label unique. Every bottle is unique, labeled and numbered by hand.

A “funky” rum made to enjoy in cocktails, combined or simply with a little cocoa or panela diluted in rum. Perfect to drink "neat" or "on the rocks".

The freshly cut cane is very present both in aroma and on the palate, the rum feels very green and reminds us of the land where the sugar cane grows. Our white rum is a complex rum with character, achieving a great combination or strong flavors and aromas with a smooth experience.

Character was given by our pot-still and rum master, Mr. Javier Herrera.
